One of the greatest problems facing serious Electric Vehicle (EV) users has been the limited range – but this isn’t really the problem – all cars have a limited range.

The real issue has been refuelling with a traditional internal combustion engine, Diesel or Petrol the average refuelling time was around 10 minutes. The electric equivalent was a couple of hours. That was a prohibitive problem to serious travellers and business users – now though new battery technology is promising the possibility of a 5 minute recharge – that puts the EV on a level playing field and does away with one of the biggest objections to widespread adoption. It’s a significant and substantive advance.
